sports in general

This is our first commentary of what is going on in sports; to tell you the truth I am sick and tired of every talking head on TV, radio and print thinking they are an "expert"; when, in fact, you and I could do a better job.  I also don't know why practically every commentator has to be an ex football, baseball, basketball, etc. player; is it because they are supposed to be an expert or is it that most of them are controversial, egotistical blowhards.  Many of them have police records that would keep you and I from ever getting a job like that.  If you agree please send us your top 10 worst commentators for everyone to see; it won't make any difference as to whether they keep their jobs but it does give us the opportunity to express our feelings.  I have to give my thoughts on the Cam Newton (Auburn) fiasco; it is obvious that his father, Cecil, did try to extort monies from at least one college.  Now; did Cam know; I can assure you that the powers that be at Auburn are saying no.  Will Cam speak up and tell us what really happened; NO; this could possibly cause Auburn to forfeit this possible perfect season and we all know that followers, fans and supporters of any college don't give a happy damn what their players do as long as they win; such hypocisy.  Hey Cam; you are going to the NFL anyway so tell us the truth.  Oh; by the way; I picked 10 teams to cover the point spread last week and 9 of them did with South Carolina over Florida my number one pick.  I don't have the money to gamble so we pick 10 every week just to see how we stack up with the professionals; right now we are at 83% for the year.  Not bad for Amateurs !!  Should Boise State or TCU play for the National Championship, a great question; I would be more inclined to say yes if either of these two colleges played in a stronger conference but it is hard to say that a 1 lost team from the SEC or the Big 10/12 should not play before them mainly because the teams playing in these conferences are much stronger than the teams that Boise State and TCU play.  I realize it is extremely hard to go undefeated and I wish they both do so.  I also realize that if either of them played for the National Championship it would definitely be a "feel-good" that the entire country could embrace.  My feeling is that they should not play for the Championship even though the BCS grading system is rediculous.  I see where the BCA (Black Coaches and Administrators) are still upset that there are not enough minorities holding head coaching positions based on percentages.  They say only 15 percent of BCS football coaches are minority and there should be more.  Personally; I am geting a little tired of hearing this primarily because they are basing there findings; if they will admit it or not; on the fact that the majority of the football players are black.  The BCA seems to conveniently forget that the percentage of black basketball coaches is much greater.  Let's do this BCA; you want more diversity and so do I; let's make all football and basketball players in the BCS adhere to the same percentage you want to use for coaches.  I doubt very seriously you would agree to this but yet affirmative action in jobs and colleges is okay to increase the percentage of minorities there.   Hey; just letting off some steam; let me know how you feel but please use rational, intelligent discourse, no cursing.
